Most people do not like how they look on camera. These ladies at SayitFacetoFace.com admit that they don’t like how they look, but they make videos anyways. One lady that I know emphatically insisted that she did not like video, but one month later she was happily using a webcam – and getting good feedback too.
Even online we enjoy personal connection. We want to know what the writer looks and sounds like. Making a video combines those, shows facial expressions and more. Only movie stars look like, well, like movie stars. So don’t sweat it! The more you do it the more comfortable you will become with it.
I vlog for connection, for community, for the fun use of a different medium. I don’t vlog to show people how good I look. [ROFL] Why do you vlog?
