“A little bit of business is worth more than 8 pages of dialogue,” said Bing Crosby to Jane Wyman in Just For You. I agree. I think that might be part of the reason that online video is so popular.
That might be why I find talking heads so boring. They are just reading dialogue and I can skim dialogue faster than listening to them read it.
I’ve been challenging myself to try to find something to show you, something to illustrate, something to keep that window on the top instead of underneath.
I think that an expressive face and some hand movement helps. Some action in the video makes much more of an impression than lots of words.

Notice how much more entertaining this video is with Crosby and Wyman making faces, motions, and generally having fun instead of just standing and singing.
